Relief for Detroit Retirees losing Health Insurance

The City of Detroit is revoking the health insurance benefits for all Detroit Retirees effective March 1st, the Retirees are not being offered Cobra or any assistance with purchasing a Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan. 

Medicare Provides Relief: Medicare is granting a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) for these Detroit Retirees, allowing them to join a Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, or a Medicare Part D Plan effective March 1st.
